Spicy Hot Honey Butter

Creamy, spicy and with a subtle hint of honey

Whether for a barbecue evening, on a crispy baguette or as a flavourful topping for steak, burgers, sweetcorn on the cob or grilled vegetables – this Hot Honey Butter adds that special something to any dish. The mild sweetness of our acacia honey blends perfectly with fresh thyme, tangy garlic and fiery chilli, making this butter the star of any barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 250 g softened butter
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 red chilli pepper
  • 1 orange chilli pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2–3 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 2 tbsp Breitsamer acacia honey

Preparation

  • Roughly chop the shallots, chillies and garlic. Strip the thyme leaves from the sprigs.
  • Place all the ingredients, together with the softened butter and the acacia honey, into a food processor and blend until you have a creamy butter.
  • Chill the Hot Honey Butter until ready to serve, or enjoy it straight away.
