A refreshing summer treat with a delicate honey sweetness
A refreshing aperitif for balmy summer evenings: the AlpenSprizz combines the fresh notes of lime and mint with elderflower liqueur, Prosecco and the mild sweetness of our Alpine Blossom Honey. The result is a wonderfully refreshing drink that can be prepared in no time at all and is the perfect accompaniment to any garden party or an evening on the balcony.
Ingredients
For 1 glass of 0.3 l each
- 2 cl elderflower liqueur
- 1–2 tsp Breitsamer Alpine Blossom Honey
- 6 cl Prosecco
- ½ Lime
- A few fresh mint leaves
- Herb-lemonade to top up
- Ice cubes
Preparation
- Fill a large glass with ice cubes.
- Cut the lime into pieces and gently crush it together with the mint leaves to release the flavours.
- Add the elderflower liqueur and Alpine honey and stir well until the honey has dissolved.
- Pour in the Prosecco and top up the glass with well-chilled herbal lemonade.
- Stir gently and garnish with a sprig of mint or a slice of lime, if desired.
- Serve well chilled and enjoy.
Would you prefer to enjoy the AlpenSprizz alcohol-free? No problem! Simply swap the elderflower liqueur for elderflower syrup and the Prosecco for non-alcoholic sparkling wine or sparkling mineral water. This creates an equally refreshing alternative with a delicate honeyed sweetness.
