The time has come! The Foundation for People and the Environment is once again launching the major ‘Deutschland summt!’ planting competition. This charitable foundation works across Germany to protect nature and transform urban spaces into liveable, green oases.

Through this competition, she aims to encourage people to take action themselves and create valuable habitats for insects. She is looking for creative, insect-friendly spaces that offer bees, butterflies and other insects a new home – from colourful front gardens and green balconies to ecologically redesigned company premises.

Your contribution to the bees – take part and win!

The competition recognises creative and nature-based projects that not only create insect-friendly spaces but also inspire others to take action themselves. The best entries have the chance to win attractive cash and non-cash prizes.

Anyone can take part: individuals, schools, nurseries, clubs or businesses. The aim is to create more natural green spaces and thereby promote valuable habitats for wild bees and other pollinating insects. Native plants, which provide food and shelter for these creatures, are key to this.

This is how Breitsamer supports bee conservation

As honey experts, the welfare of bees is particularly close to our hearts. That is why we are not only involved in the ‘We’re Doing Something for Bees’ competition, but also run our own projects that promote the protection of bees.

A particular highlight is our Breitsamer Frühlingssummen, a floral and aromatic spring blossom honey from the first harvest of the year. For every jar sold, 40 cents goes towards various bee projects to preserve and create habitats.
