This year we have again received the “Prize for Longstanding Product Quality” from the DLG. An award that makes us particularly proud, as it recognizes the consistently high quality of our honeys and we see it as recognition of our consistent striving for quality – a cornerstone that has been firmly anchored in our Breitsamer philosophy for over 85 years.
As a third-generation family business, we attach great importance to consistent honey quality and the trust of our customers. Therefore, the highest quality requirements apply to each of our honeys, which we voluntarily define more strictly than the German Honey Ordinance.

Quality you can taste, see and smell
The honeys were tested by the independent experts of the German Agricultural Society. The food analyses focus primarily on testing sensory quality. This means that the independent experts closely examine and evaluate appearance, consistency and odor, among other things.
To receive the longstanding product quality award, companies must participate in the testing procedures for five consecutive years and achieve at least three awards in each year.
The award of our honeys and thus our family business by the DLG confirms us in our work with the natural product and motivates us to continue to give our best. We will continue to have our honeys tested by the experts of the DLG in order to meet the high demands and the trust of our customers in our honey.
